God speed to you. You will be missed.

Back online.
It was a tough week, We are in the middle of moving which is always hell, but I forgot to call the cable company so we didn't have internet, cable or phone at the new house until today.
I had a follow up visit with my Surgeon and everything is going great. I am now allowed to eat mushies as well, That's things like mashed potatoes, and refried beans.
I went to Taco Bell for lunch that day and had some delicious beans. First solid food in 2 weeks! Furthermore, I get back on regular food on next Tuesday (providing I don't have any issues with the mushies)e
My daughter rented a new house and I am so glad they are finally in a decent place. I think it is good for young people to get a taste of the hard life, I think it builds character and makes them more appreciative of what they have. Too many grow up being ungrateful for the small blessings that live offers.

Enough drivel.

March 9th, 2009!
I finally got my gastric Lap-Band.
With a starting weight of 538lb over the summer of 2008.
I lost 74lbs in preparation of the surgery.
My laparoscopic procedure went very well and I am home already, but not resting too much.
My first goal is 400 by the 4th of July. Wish me luck.

On my last post I was lamenting that I was having trouble with the transmission on my truck, well. I paid 800 dollars and the garage put a used transmission in. 3 days later it died! They put a second used trans in the truck. I rented a car this time because Jaci had started classes and needed a way to get to school. They took 8 days to replace it. 2 days later that trans was dead! To say that I wan unhappy would be an understatement. Long story short, its fixed. They finally got a remanufactured trans and put it in. I got a 1000.00 dollar trans installed for 800 bucks!.

I think my differential is next. I will get it looked at soon.

I finally got a blood glucose monitor. I have been checking my blood every day now and I wasn’t happy with the numbers. They were in the high 400’s!!!

I have changed my diet and added a new medicine and this morning it was down to 164 :o)

It’s gone down a few points every day. I need to get it down to around 100 but 164 sure beets 470.

Jaci has started her spring classes. Her schedule is much more manageable than last year. She only has 1 night class and all her classes are on Tuesday and Thursday.

We repainted the mailbox for Valentines Day. It’s all HOT PINK with flowers and stuff. I replaced the post and completely redid how it was mounted. It’s a lot better, and more stable now.

Were going in to H and R Block tomorrow to get our taxes done. Good thing too. We need the cash$$$.

We think that JEB (dog) is pregnant AGAIN. Going to get her fixed!!

The new year started off well... I got sick on new years eve, and on the 3rd, the transmission on my truck died. Just left me stranded in Green Forest. Had to get a flatbed tow truck to haul it to a garage. After several days they have located a transmission and I hope to have the truck back on Friday. I have no idea how much this will cost me. Probably $1000.00+ Stacey and Jon have been staying with some friends so they can get to work. Meanwhile me and the kids have been stuck here on the hill.
Like I said, the new year has started out with a bang (more like a grinding KKCCLUNKK)
I have a new hole in my leg. well, its more like a revisit from an old hole. hurts like hell none the less.

Ahh, Christmas. The day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Even though he was not born anytime near December 25th. Apparently I was like the last person on the planet that found this out. My family keeps giving me crap about how fucked up it is that the church has lied to me and one of the CORE tenets that stabilize my soul is all just a LIE. "Get over it." they say. "NO" I can’t just re-write my existence that easily.
Anyway... I LOVE Christmas. When else can a fat guy with a beard be idolized by millions.
It started out sucky. We were BROKE. Santa would not be stopping at our house. With that in mind nobody wanted to deal with a tree or any decorations. That sucked for me. I couldn’t get in the holiday mood. not to mention that Stacey’s dad died a month ago.
So. dec 25 rolls around. the not the birthday of Christ, and there are no presents under the no Christmas tree.
AJ was at his friend’s house. and jaci was with her boyfriend at his parents house. Just me, stacey, and megan...
I watched "its a wonderful life" as I always do. I cried.
when jaci finally got home she and the other kids had a present for me. They had gone through the old photos and put together a scrapbook. It was soo beautiful. but...
soo many memories; My mom. Grandmother, and my sweet little children...
I have a new rule... No Making Dad cry on Christmas!!!
Anyway, we then broke out this game called "Cranium" and at first I didn’t want to play but it turned out to be soooooo much fun.
Overall, I would give the day a 6.
TTFN.
